Any particle containing a charm quark is considered a charmed particle, as opposed to a charming particle. We wonder why--seriously, have you ever seen a D meson? It's seriously charming.
So what does this most gracious and charismatic of elemental particles smell like? It pleases us to imagine that it smells of white petits-fours glacés, milk caramel, and the stickiest amber we could get our hands on.

On my skin, this smells like posh vanilla chocolates, wrapped in dark chocolate, with a hint of amber/caramel. And it's comforting and rather addictive! The smell also lasts for ages on me, in a soft background way.
This is the squee I keep turning to out of my set, to relax me at home, when I'm feeling stressed and can't decide whether to keep working or go to bed.
I was hoping to replace another perfume (sadly no longer made) that smells of warm, cozy vanilla, like your grandmother has been baking cookies & cakes... and instead I got something rather more like someone in a slinky evening dress... But it's rather addictive and I think a bigger bottle is going to be a necessity!

While this wasn't exactly what I was expecting (A vanilla-carmel cake with hints of amber), I adore it! In the bottle it smells like pure amber with a few hints of icing. On me, the amber definitely doesn't disappear- but the other smells come out to play! The final smell is a sticky sweet amber and carmel mix, with a bit of cake thrown in. My favorite perfume by far!

...although it doesn't start out that way.
In the bottle, a barely there hint of something that I couldn't quite smell. Thinking it was just me, I had several others sniff the bottle, with the same result.
On me however is when the magic begins. It started off as a lovely Angel cake with Coconut icing, then changed to sweet sticky Caramel(freshly melted for dipping fruit into), then a lovely Amber drifts in on the breeze. So kind of like My Mother was baking in the kitchen, with all those lovely smells drifting outside for all the me and all the neighbour kids to experience. Oh, then it begins again to keep me hungry cor more.
On my son, delicious Caramel cake. So much so that I'm going to have to go shopping to make one because we are all hungry for it now. He kept sniffing his wrist and sighing happily. The Amber is much fainter on him, and doesn't change the way it does on me, just stays deliciously cake.
Thanks for the memories.

In the bottle, it smells like the description-- sticky sweetness with a little musky amber. On my skin, it smells like... Caramel with root beer inscence and unfrosted cake.

This one perplexes me. I had hoped for a sugary-sweet iced cake smell with a warm backing of amber. Its sweet, but not as sweet as I expected - it's almost like the notes are working in the reverse order than you'd already expect. Just looking at the list, I'd expect it to go as top note: sweet light cake, heart note: heavier sweet caramel, base note: amber. What I actually got was top note: amber, middle note: cake, base note: caramel. It was so strange! I'm going to have to try this one by itself again, or try Bottom and Charm on completely different days, because I have a feeling they play off eachother in bizzare ways.
