You may be familiar with the EVIL TREES in movies that reach out and grab people and, depending on the movie, either muss them up good or ruin them for their own species forever. This scent isn't that of an evil tree, precisely, it's more the rakish-gentleman sort of tree that comes to call at uncivilized hours and does that smile that makes the butler wish he were younger.
A warm woody scent, tee-hee. ;) Unisex. Sandalwood, fir-pitch, patchouli, and jolly big coconuts.
(Dastardly Banyan Red is our reformulation of this scent available in 2011. It's more creamy, less coconutty. If you'd like to get that instead, please tell us so in the order comments. Otherwise we'll make you some Dastardly Banyan White, as described above.)

In the bottle i'm definitely getting the sandalwood, patchouli, and coconut, mostly in that order, although the patchouli blends into every-thing quite nicely. When I put it on it smelled kinda like coconuts and dry, cut wood, but it quickly changed into something that smelled like pina coladas, and a little bit of, yeah, suntan lotion, but not in a chemical way? A little while after that it sort of took a nap, and everything got muffled and soft, i think the patchouli came in there, but then it scuttled off again and every-thing was pina-coladas, with a little bit of a tang to it, and someone added a lot of coconut. After that every-thing blended. i got about five hours out of it.

RED: Creamy is definitely a word that belongs in the description. its like....... ok. imagine that old wood box you've smelled. not the cedar one, the old jewellery box. now imagine someone stuck coconut treats in there and maybe they were wearing suntan lotion. now that i have you all confused, here is my review of white.
WHITE: first is the coconut treats but someone dropped that old jewellery box and now the smell is smaller cause its on the floor. more suntanclotion while they munch on those rafaello treats.
i give it a four cause it smells good but i dont think its for me

I wish I were better at reviews, because I'm not quite sure what to say about this. I like it, but I don't quite know how to put it into words. Things like "dense" and "creamy" come to mind, but those don't sound quite right. I think I get alot of coconut from this blend and it's registering in my brain as cypress. It smells like wood, but not like trees to me if that makes sense. Woody but not in a green way? Oh heck. I know the review sucks, but the scent is awesome!

I think this will be my go-to scent when I want something less masculine than Brontosaurus Loves Triceratops but still want to smell delicious. It is warm and woody and very smooth. On my skin it turns almost vanilla, but not in a feminine way and not in a sugary way, which are the two things about vanilla scents that I usually don't like. It really is a wonderfully unisex scent.

This is one sexy, sexy tree smell. As a lover of all things botanical, I decided to try this scent, not knowing the wonders in store. As soon as I put it on, its warm, woody base and hints of unexpected sweetness knocked me off my feet. There might have been swooning involved.
The coconut is subtle, but together with the sandalwood and patchouli it creates a creamy, soft scent that will have you gazing dreamily into the distance, longing to be swept away to the forest.
