No, not desert rose. Dessert rose. We meant what we typed.
This one is a sweet, light scent for people who don't want any patchouli OR amber in their rose. Ariel kept sniffing her wrist and going "mmmm" while she was testing it; on her, the rose fades early and leaves just a hint of rosepetal in a scent of warm, sweet confectionery delight. We were originally going to name it Honeyed Rose Trifle, because "trifle" is a great word and also a dessert, before humor came in and took over our decision-making process (like it does).
Candied rosepetals layered in a boozy vanilla trifle, soaked in honey, and topped with the thinnest shaving of a crisp, bright apple.

received this as an extra in my squee order (thank you!). the rose aspect of it is a bit like potpourri, but less musky. sweet and fruity, and the rose is sweet too. I smell wonderfully tasty. as time goes on, the vanilla starts coming forward, and something that may possibly be the apple. very, very yum.

Very sweet. More dessert than rose, honestly. And the small portion of rose, reminds me of rose-scented soaps more than a living natural rose. I'm not much for foodie scents, so I'll pass on this.

Unlike other reviewers I've seen, I smelled barely any apple, if at all. On me, it was very rosy at first, and after a while it settled to a sweet honey-rose scent, which is what I was hoping for. Lovely fragrance!

I'm not sure why some people are getting the apple smell...
I certainly didn't pick up on that. For me it was exactly what was promised: heavy on the roses with a lovely sweetness! I wear it whenever I feel like being romantic and it smells even better when it's on your skin. But avoid putting it on the part of your neck underneath your ears; you might get a little dizzy from the roses!

This came as a freebie in my squee set, and I'm glad it did. It starts off screaming ROSEROSEROSE with just a hint of sweetness underneath, but that fades after a while. After that, the rose takes a backseat to the vanilla and it smells like a warm cupcake with just a hint of rose in the background. It had pretty good staying power on me as well, which was good because it smelled so awesome. I need to get a bottle of this.

This came as a free bonus squee for me, and I'm glad I tried it before buying it. I love rose scents. This conspired to not contain any rose scent at all once placed on my skin, though in the bottle it did have a soft pink rose aroma. Once I put it on it turned into... this is going to sound so weird... apples. Yes pink lady apples with a hint of amber, not a bad scent, but not something that I want to smell like.
I prefer a hearty granny smith scent if I must smell like apples. ;)

Initially, when I put this on I get pinkpinkpinkpinkoldfashionedroseandroseandrose!!!!! And that's not a bad smell, exactly, it isn't soapy or anything, it just isn't a smell I love. Then, after a few minutes, the rose faded a lot and I got appleappleappleyappleyapple. Lots and lots of bright, crisp apple. This was nice and refreshing, but again, didn't love it. Eventally, the dessert part came out and everything fell into place..rosewater soaked apple peel with lovely vanilla cream and sugar and loveliness. I didn't get a lot of booze but I'm fine with that. This was gorgeous ...BPAL's 'Glittering Apple of the Stars', has some similarities to this, although this is much warmer, sweeter and less crystalline. I was definitely up for getting a bottle of this, it's just that good. But then it disappeared. I was gutted. I don't think it lasted more than an hour and I put a lot on. I will definitely try this again, but it was waaaaay too faint for me this time

I love apples and roses, so I was really hoping to love this one, but it fades *so* fast on my skin. 5 minutes after I put it on, I had to have my face shoved in my wrist to get the slightest whiff of it. From what I can get, it smells like exactly what you'd expect from a dessert rose: roses and sugar. It's good, but I don't know if it's good enough to get a bottle for slathering purposes. May have to re-try once it's settled a bit, or in a locket for more longevity.

The scent is perfect the perfume isn't.
Wet it smells like rose with some subtle spicy scent underneath. When it dries on skin you can smell the dessert qualities better. It has a pleasant floral scent rather that stale overpowering bitter old lady floral. It's a marvelous and fresh scent that suffers mainly from fading fast and not being very noticeable.

This one is softer and subtler than I expected it to be. On me it starts out very sweet, kinda foody sugary, and then there's a short period of lovely booziness. The rose is very soft, and I don't notice it much until it's been dry for half an hour or more. Then every so often I get this really nice hint of crisp, juicy, lovely apple. Unfortunately it fades kind of fast on me but when it's there it's very nice!
