This scent is based on an antique recipe for a vinaigrette mix--NOT the salad dressing, mind you.
Vinaigrette boxes were the posh Victorian answer to the cloven orange and the pomander; little silver-gilt latticed containers for a bit of sponge soaked with vinegar and pleasant, refreshing oils to whiff on when something unrefined got into your business. Late-night droopiness and being stuck in a cramped vehicle for a long trip were definitely occasions to whip out the vinaigrette.
Our mix contains a ton of things calibrated to freshen you up and get you all refined again: lavender water, grapefruit rind, lemongrass, juniper berry, white sage, palmarosa, and a bunch more. We left out the vinegar, naturally. You can put it back in if you want to. :)

In the bottle it smells a little like sharp lemon or one of those iced shrubs you get in a metal cup in a fancy Prohibition-era bar; straight out of the bottle, it smells a whole lot like those lemony-scented sanitation handwipes you get when you've eaten too much chicken. And a little like lemon sherbet. Fizzy, sweet, kind of light, rather delightful. Certainly there's lemongrass. There's a sweet sourness to it. I can't stop huffing my wrist, although it's fading really very quickly, compared to Marmalade Tabby on my other wrist (which has now turned sweet and buttery and continues to linger).
Delicious and lively, but leaves quick.

I love the true citrusy scent of this, it's very bright and fresh smelling, wonderful for summer.

I got this scent as a freebie squee a while back, and have just recently started to wear it pretty frequently. The citrus and lemongrass notes are definitely at the fore when freshly applied-- and it could just be the way the scents mingle, but on me they end up almost ginger-y, which I can't get enough of. The scent calms down after a while, but remains nicely bright and herbal. The only reason this one doesn't get 5 stars from me is that, yes, it does fade kind of quickly, but I don't know if that'll stop me from getting a bottle once the squee runs out!

It totally follows through on it's name, as it seems to only stay on a whim.
Citrus and Juniper and Sage, Oh My! It would be a very refreshing scent, if it would stay on me longer. It fades sooooo fast. I've had to put it on me four times to get a good whiff on me. It's a rather earthy blend, if that makes any sense. Grapefruit at the onset, then fades to let the sage and juniper take center stage.
If they had a soap, I'd buy it to make this gorgeous scent stay longer. I still want a full bottle of it, because it is very lovely. I'm going to be shopping for a scent locket so I can enjoy it more than a few minutes.

My first impression of this (in the bottle and on the skin) was CITRUS! I can catch the juniper a bit, and the lavender later, but early the grapefruit and lemongrass are front and center, and I really like that - it smells like I'd hoped the Gracious Nerve Cordial would. I like it a lot, although on me it faded fairly quickly.

Wow, this is very unusual, in a good way. I got lavender on the first sniff, but then it's sharpened up by the grapefruit and lemongrass and juniper. They mix together beautifully -- the lavender keeps the pungent stuff from getting too sharp, and the tangy ones keep the lavender from getting too soapy. Great stuff.
