We created this scent after the exciting crisp chill of Fall turned to a grey and weary cold that made us long for summer naps on garden benches, warm even in the shade and surrounded by the green smell of leaves.
Sun-warmed tomato leaves, orange trees heavy with fruit, the ghost of fragrant herbs on your fingers, and green grass a few steps down the hill.

I was a bit skeptical when I first took a whiff of this. It was a bit too tangy, but on my skin it smells warm and summery and I have completely fallen in love with it!

in bottle: leaves and grass and something implacably acidic.
wet on skin: sweet, sweet grass and citrus peels. it reminds me a bit of kudzu doom, but while kudzu doom is reminiscent of driving in the city in the spring with the windows open and passing gardens and greenery, garden nap is stopping the car during summer and relaxing in them personally.
as it dries, the citrus melds more pleasantly with the greenery and i'm left with an incredibly invigorating but relaxing lemony-herbal scent. it unfortunately fades all too quickly, but while it's there it's sooo good.

#6 of 10 squees.
This is the first squee I've used where the citrus didn't flee screaming on me. It's orange, but not in an orange-y way; it's more like the citrus you get in a very good curry that uses Kaffir Lime leaves, sweet and green. My neighbor has an orange tree, and if you crush the young leaves this is something like how they smell. After a while, the initial blast of orange fades down to a general distant herby whisper, departing a grove in harvest for other farms. It's sweet, and it tickles the back of my nose.

I smell oranges and leaves. I was a little sad that this didn't remind me more of my dad's tomato garden, which would be this perfume PLUS the smell of sliced-open tomatoes. (I'm not sure if making the scent of sliced tomatoes could even be made into a perfume for even the best of chemists, so I may be putting too many demands on Holly and Ariel!) But, while it's different than I expected, I still like it! I'm still on the fence whether I want to buy a full bottle, but I will keep the squee around to keep on smelling it.

A gorgeous scent--this one is the first I encountered from any perfumer that I absolutely *had* to have a bottle. It just smells green--a wonderful tomato vine-ey or cut grass kind of green, like laying in the middle of your lawn on a warm summer's day. One of my go-to scents!

One of my faves! I can't say that this is like napping on a bench in a garden, but it's more like you fell asleep in the soft green grass and woke to find you crushed a few marigolds during your slumber and now the petals are tangled in your hair.
Green, green, deliciously green with the tang of marigolds and a hint of opulent garden.
