After a hard day's work, there's nothing quite like kicking back with a nice warm cannon fusillade and a selection of small, defenseless villages. Ah, the good life!
Three toasted woods, torched incense, clove bud and rich patchouli.

My friend directed me to this website out of the blue and told me about this specific scent. She said it smells like fire, and that's exactly the kind of thing I like. I read the reviews, and one of the reviewers described it as "a hobo fire in an abandoned church", and that's what did it for me. I had to order. So I did... first sniff, whiskey. Okay, it's piratey. Second.. clove. Oh yes. this is GOOD. It stays on for hours and as soon as I forget I have it on, I move in just the right way to flood my senses with it again. I'm so in love. I forsee myself going through a loooot of this. Just go easy on it because the smell is very BOOM! so a little bit goes a long way. I'm obsessed.

This is probably my favorite. I'm really and truly NOT a fan of patchouli, but if it was in there, it stayed well hidden out of self preservation.
When I first put this on, it's a raging fire in a spice warehouse and I love it. It really does smell like burning woods and the ghost of incense, bringing to mind a hobo fire in an abandoned church.
After a little time the fires start to burn out and the clove scent picks up a bit. The wood never truly goes away, but it takes second place to a more mellow pirate queen whose edge has been blunted by grog.
This scent is dark, a little sexy, and surprisingly complex given its simplicity. I feel confident and a wee bit piratical wearing it.
Two burning torches way way up.

The lovely warmth of campfires, but sexier and more dangerous. I was very happy that the wood smells were so prominent, and there wasn't too much patchouli. But I wouldn't call it "laid-back." Maybe it's just my mindset or my skin chemistry, but for me, Off Duty is even more badass than On Duty. It's not overpowering at all, just rich. The two work very well together as a day-to-night combo.

Disclaimer: Everything turns sweet on me.
Originally I was hesitant about this scent because patchouli tends to overwhelm everything on me, but this particular blend stayed well-balanced! Strangely enough, while the patchouli mellowed out and played well with the incense and clove, it REALLY mellowed; instead of a pirate queen out pillaging and burning, there was a laid-back, non-aggressive spice that had a gingery kick now and then. Even the wood and incense smoothed out. The overall result was a relaxed, confident blend that put me in mind of a post-pillage laziness, with a certain pirate queen kicking back with her feet on the cushions in a dimly-lit den somewhere, eyeing you with just enough feline interest to let you know how tasty you'd be... if only she felt compelled to move.
I would recommend this blend to anyone who's usually hesitant about patchouli (as it stayed calm on me), and who'd like a comfortable scent to lounge around in.
