Never forget March 15, 2009. On that day, a small free-tailed bat clung resolutely to the space shuttle Discovery and rose through the Earth's atmosphere to the vastness beyond on a billowing plume of flame. No creature has ever died a more glorious death, or lived so purely the dream that pulled our distant ancestors up from the oceans and into the skies. While Spacebat's body did not survive his flight to the stars, his dream lives on in all of us.
The scent of a soul slipping the surly bonds of earth for the stars above. Mission accomplished.
Cave stone and memorial myrrh lifted by nutmeg and delicate leather wings.

On me, there are some hints of interesting notes all quickly and hopelessly buried under an overwhelming strong scent that makes me think of... something burning, and dirt. Dirt on fire. Unfortunately, with time this only gets stronger and whatever else was in there fades out. It's a curiosity, but something like the opposite of perfume.
Welp, not for my skin chemistry. Oh well, it was a bonus!

Maybe this is just the association I have with the myrrh smell, but it does put me in mind of funerals and churches. This is a nice, non-flowery smell that would be totally at home at some kind of formal (possibly memorial) function. The leather comes through subtly on me and makes me think of well-tended furniture. It's not an every day kind of smell for me, but I'll reach for it next time I need to do something somber and fancy!

Absolutely lovely in the vial. I can't pick out individual notes, but it all blends together into something dark and dank but still soft and perfume-y. When I first put it on I was scared my skin chemistry had ruined it--it went all dirt and leather. Luckily after just a few minutes it sorted itself out and smelled much closer to how it had in the squee but harsher and stronger. The dirt scent was still there, but smells much nicer when layered under the other notes, and the nutmeg really came out on the dry-down. Definitely a sniffing-your-wrists-all-day kind of smell.
