A companion scent to Barbaric Splendour — the feminine side of pillaging and dominion. Royal jasmine, sandalwood, patchouli, dusty musk.

The musk is sweet, not Smokey. Oddly, I smell a lot of mint (is this the patchouli?). A bit too strong for me.

I can't believe that all these months later I never wrote a review for my favorite scent. I suppose it's because I wasn't sure how to do it justice. The difference between this scent and "Barbaric Splendor" is subtlety itself. While the Barb comes on very strong with an almost straight shot of Sandalwood and Patchouli his Wife lures you in with a feminine touch of Jasmine. While his caparisoned steeds hooves churn up fresh dark earthy notes, she has a soft powdery overtone of dust. It's the difference in the sharp scent of incense smoke, and the soft scent of the same incense lingering in the linens a day later. I plan on buying both of course but the Chieftans wife will be my everyday fare, and the Barbarian himself will be for hardy occasions like festivals, and camping.
