Everyone knows that the ancient Egyptians had mighty architectural prowess, but they were also the inventors of beer!
Serious beer researchers have determined that this was not in fact a flavorless affair of undercooked bread sitting in water until it fermented, but was in fact a sweet and fruity brew made from scratch with barley malt and emmer, a type of wheat. Despite beer, pyramids, a written language and papyrus, however, there was one serious lack in ancient Egyptian civilization: chocolate!
We have corrected this historical unfairness to create Theopatra, a blend of thick, sweet, wheaty beer and theobromine-rich chocolate. Between the two of them, they're solid proof that the world is beautiful and loves us a lot.

When wet it smells a bit weird, almost musty. As it dries more of the chocolate scent comes out and the musty scent mellows out and becomes quite nice.

This one, on me, smells exactly as advertised. It's a rich chocolate deepened by a full-bodied beer-y yeastiness. It's strong and it lasts. It's nice in that it's a rich full scent that isn't at all sweet.
...unfortunately, I kinda hate beer. Well. Really hate beer. Like, a lot. Hence the three stars, which, to be fair, is pretty much personal preference. If you like the smell of beer (and, let me be clear, this is a wheaty-yeasty healthy beer scent, and not the stale beer stink after a booze-up), this might be just your thing.
I do think it's very well-executed. It just really isn't a scent for me.

On application, all I could smell was chocolate chip cookie dough and wet dog. As it warmed up on my skin, it was deep, earthy, chocolatey but really, really strong! My partner and I found it a little overpowering, and not suitable for car rides or enclosed spaces (guess what we were up to that day). Possibly better suited to a night out.
